January 2004 FRA re-launched its web site in February, with a new look, upgraded functionality, and new content. From the home page, visitors can learn about FRA’s structure, goals, and program emphasis; review and order most-requested publications; and apply for membership. Members will find the dedicated “members” section also revamped, with archived FRA Bulletins from the past five years now searchable by key word. An archive of the approximately 300 Technical Releases, Safety Alerts, PR Alerts, Security Alerts, and Loss Control Overviews published since 1999 will be available—also fully searchable—in the next few months. (User ID and Password haven’t changed.) FRA’s newsletter, the FRA Bulletin, also has a new look, to enable more rapid publishing and more streamlined transmission. The Bulletin will now be sent directly to members as a formatted .html-based e-mail (with a plain-text option), as well as being archived in the “members” site. This format simplifies access, eliminating a web logon in reviewing or printing it.
We are grateful to the Forest Industry Network for working with us to
implement this extensive re-launch. Joe Perraton and his team are pros,
who bring creativity, a depth of knowledge, and a strong focus on results
to web work. Visit them at
