Privateforest.org The Nature Conservancy, with funding from the U.S. Forest Service, has established a web site dedicated to information sharing with and among private forest landowners at www.privateforest.org. In addition to fairly even-handed treatises on such topics as "sprawl" and "water quality," it provides a remarkable compendium of resources available state-by-state, including some of FRA's own materials. Those who opt for a free registration may participate in topical discussion boards. We can congratulate Nature Conservancy on an excellently edited and maintained site that is easy to consult and navigate and may prove a very constructive reference to private landowners.
