WEB SITE OFFERS BMP INFORMATION The USDA Southern Forestry Extension Service has developed an information web site "dedicated to reporting Best Management Practices information for the public, natural resources community, and most importantly, Loggers." It contains information on federal, state, and local BMP water-quality rules, listings of agencies involved, permits required, and training and education opportunities for each state. Find it at www.usabmp.net. It is comprehensive, practical, and easy to navigate. The administrators of the site are in the process of identifying additional state logger education contacts and, in addition, urge anyone with comments, concerns, or information that may be useful in improving the site to contact J.B.
