GEORGIA LOGGER WINS LOG A LOAD FORD

Georgia logger John Bunn’s ticket came first out of a drum at the March 7
national Log A Load For Kids drawing in New Orleans—-making him the very
lucky winner of a new 2005 Ford Super Duty Pickup, culminating a year-long
fundraising push to support Children’s Miracle Network hospitals through
Log A Load For Kids®.
Ford Motor Company donated the prize Super Duty Pickup, supplying it
through Macon, Georgia’s Riverside Ford. Ford has donated new vehicles to
support special Log A Load fundraising drawings for each of the past three
years.
John Bunn is a partner in Bunn Logging, based in Forsyth, Georgia—-a past
National Outstanding Logger well known for its safety record and
innovative management—-and has been a supporter of Log A Load For Kids
since the program began. He has had a lot of experience with Ford’s heavy-
and light-duty trucks over the years and says he is quite pleased with his
vehicle: “These new ones have made some great improvements, for a quieter,
smoother ride.”
The $71,365 raised through the latest drawing has been dedicated to CMN
hospitals in all contributors’ home states.
Georgia has supported the state’s seven CMN hospitals with Log A Load
fundraising events, including golf tournaments and sport clay shoots,
since the 1995. Georgia’s total for this year, including funds raised
through donations to the national Ford drawing, pushed the state’s total
fundraising for that ten-year period over the $1 million mark.
Log A Load for Kids is an annual campaign through which loggers and other
forest products people donate the value of a load of logs to local
non-profit Children’s Miracle Network hospitals and conduct fundraisers to
support them. The Forest Resources Association Inc. is proud to be the
national sponsor of the Log A Load For Kids® program.
