Rockville, Maryland – George Ragsdale, whose steady support for
Log A Load For Kids® through 15 years won him a special Log A Load “Lifetime Champion” award in 2003, has put out a new challenge to state Log A Load programs nationwide.
George, a long-time logging community leader, will make an additional $1,000 donation to the Log A Load fundraising total of any and all states that raise at least $5,000 in donations through the
Ford Super Duty Pick-Up Truck drawing, to be held at the Forest Resources Association Annual Awards Dinner,
March 7, 2005 in New Orleans. FRA must receive filled-out tickets from state sponsors by February 25. (Winner need not be present to win.)
The announcement will be an extra push to state Log A Load programs to promote donations to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals through this third annual Ford drawing. Loggers, foresters, and other members of the forestry community may locate their state Log A Load contact at
www.logaload.org/states.html, or phone FRA’s Linda Gibson at 301/838-9385.
Log A Load for Kids® is an annual campaign that encourages loggers and others in the forestry community to provide financial support to their local Children’s Miracle Network hospitals. Log A Load is one of CMN’s leading national supporters.
