HARDWOOD UTILIZATION GROUP (AHUG)
MISSION:
The mission
of Allegheny Hardwood Utilization Group is to meet the challenges facing
forest industry today to ensure the economic health of existing forest
industry and to attract secondary utilization.
ACTIVITIES:

Monitors regulatory and legislative actions and informs members.

Publishes a newsletter and action alerts.

Sponsors professional education seminars.
-
Sponsors chain saw cutting, trucking, and skidding safety awards.
-
Helped organize the Allegheny Forest Alliance.
-
Developed educational programs for primary and secondary school students.
