PRO-ACTIVE FORESTRY ALLIES

Foresters and loggers may sometimes think and feel as if they are alone in their struggle with anti-forestry and anti-logging preservationists, an unsympathetic media, and unfriendly politicians and regulators. "Everyone is concerned and supportive, but no one is willing to become actively involved." Actually, the United States is alive with organizations and networks of organizations that also are carrying on the pro-activist effort in their parts of the country, in their industries, in their professions, and in their interests and avocations.

As a starting point for you, the forestry pro-activist, here is a list of ten prominent pro-activist groups from around the US which have been involved with forestry related activism. They work on behalf of loggers, mill workers, loggers, landowners: everyone who derives a livelihood from forests.
