Neil A. Ward

Neil Ward joined the FRA staff in 1982 and presently directs the 70-year-old Association’s Communications department from its national office in Rockville, Maryland. As Director of Communications, Neil edits the triannual Forest Operations Review and the electronic FRA Bulletin, and he oversees the Association’s web site at www.forestresources.org, as well as related projects at www.loggingsafety.com and www.logaload.org. He is in charge of the Association’s media- and public relations, and serves as staff liaison for FRA’s national Pro-Active Forestry Communication and Education (ProForCE) Committee and International Committee. In the latter capacity, he has been the lead staff member in organizing forest operations tours for FRA members to Sweden, Finland, Brazil, and New Zealand.

Neil’s background is in the arts and letters. He holds a BA in theater arts and German literature from Brown University and an MFA in playwriting from Carnegie-Mellon. Reach him at nward@forestresources.org.
