Tim Gammell joined the FRA staff in 1993 and presently serves as Western
Region Manager from FRA’s Portland, Oregon office. Tim's responsibilities include overseeing a program tracking Western mill production and consumption statistics; planning and executing two
region level meetings per year around the region, with 90-105 in attendance at each; staffing three standing committees: Forestry-Biomass, Transportation, and Fiber Quality/Production; maintaining a Western
Region web site (in the FRA “members” section) where pertinent natural resource information is available; and staffing WestWon, a regional communications group consisting of forest products associations' professional communicators, executive directors, and grassroots groups around the West. He also staffs the Western Forest & Fiber Security Group, comprised of security professionals, law enforcement officers, and supervisors charged with security responsibilities.
