CHAIRMAN,
NATIONAL LOG A LOAD FOR KIDSŪ
ADVISORY GROUP

Allen Boatright, state Chairman of Florida's Log A Load For KidsŪ Program since 1999, succeeded Debby Blomberg as Chair of the National Log A Load For Kids Advisory Group in November 2003 at the National Log A Load For Kids conference.

Log A Load For Kids is an annual campaign that encourages loggers and others in the forest products community to provide financial support for their local Children's Miracle Network hospitals, underlining their commitment to their communities. The nationwide program now raises over $2.5 million annually to provide medical assistance and support for kids with special needs.

Allen Boatright, owner of Boatright Timber Service, Inc. in Tallahassee, Florida, began his involvement with Log A Load following a casual request to help out at a fundraising event. Before long, the importance of the program, and its emotional rewards, made an impression on him, and his commitment to the giving campaign soon made him the Florida Chairman.

Allen believes "Log A Load For Kids is a program that the whole forest industry can be proud of. While trees are our most valuable resource, kids are surely our most precious resource. Log A Load gives us a chance to provide medical help to children in need. And this help is provided regardless of the family's ability to pay. It's definitely a program we can all be proud to be a part of."

"There is a song that is played often on Christian Radio titled Each One Reach One. That is my theme! Think about it: have you truly done all you can? If we just Each One Reach One, what could be achieved is endless. I look forward to 2004 and the challenges it will present and I thank you for the honor of serving. Let's begin now to Each One Reach One, and show what we can do even in the toughest of times."
